Liz has always had a passion for nonprofit work. Growing up with both parents working in the nonprofit sector, Liz realized early on her desire to help nonprofits run more efficiently. She helps manage the back office workflow and marketing content for Avenir and is part of the Professional Interim Executive Director team.
She has spent nearly 20 years conducting operations and project management for executive leadership teams in organizations large and small. With expertise in creating strong systems and clear procedures, Liz works tirelessly to help nonprofits maximize their time and resources.
She currently oversees operations for the executive team at A New Leaf, where she has served for five years. During this time, she established an Internal Communications Department and helped create an Employee Recognition and Engagement program as part of their retention plan. She holds a bachelor's degree in English and Spanish Education from West Coast Baptist College, where she was valedictorian.
Liz and her husband are proud foster parents who recently adopted a child out of foster care. Now the (busy) mom to four girls, she is a foster care advocate, I-HELP volunteer, Children’s Ministry leader at her church, and a member of Mesa United Way’s Women United Committee. Her weekends are spent reading, hiking, trying out new restaurants and carting her kids around.
